Holiday Fruit and Nut Clusters

It's that time of year when holiday sweet treats and nibbles are in. I wanted to make a sweet treat that my kids and I can enjoy doing together. Since they are still quite young and lose interest quickly, it has to be something easy to make, totally uncomplicated and of course fabulously delicious! After all, they'll be wanting some reward for their labor. This recipe is exactly that. The fact that it's a no-cook recipe is a true bonus.
That means they can try it right away. My 5 year old enjoyed doing this - she scooped the clusters into the spoon and helped Mommy form them. And yes, my two tots absolutely loved these - which is quite a surprise as oftentimes they are not keen on anything with nuts - but of course - if it's covered in chocolate, how can you say no? Please enjoy these easy and scrumptious bites - truly great as holiday nibbles!

Ingredients

2 cups Chocolate Chips
1 cup slivered Almonds
1/3 cup toasted Sesame seeds*
1/2 cup Raisins
1/2 cup dried Cranberries
1 teaspoon ground Cinnamon

*It's easy to toast sesame seeds. Place the seeds in a small skillet and using medium heat, dry-fry/toast them. Stir while toasting to prevent burning. When the seeds have changed their color then, they're done.

Procedure

Place chocolate chips on a heat-proof bowl over a saucepan with barely simmering water. Allow the chocolate to melt completely. Stir occasionally until the chocolate is smooth and glossy. Set aside.

Mix the remaining ingredients in a large bowl.

Stir in the melted chocolate. Mix everything well.

Using a rounded teaspoon (I used a 1/2 tablespoon - so it's slightly bigger), spoon the mixture into mini-muffin liners. Allow to set.

Enjoy in moderation!!!
