Travels and Travails and Full English Breakfast
I feel like, with all the trouble I had gone through recently just to make it here to the UK, I ought to write a post about it. Best Banana Bread
Oh Banana bread!!! If there is one baked good that everyone makes for their first attempt at baking - I think it is Banana Bread. There is just something so comforting about this loaf. So homey and just plain delicious. Sometimes though Banana breads can turn out dry or bland so we are always on the lookout for a recipe that does not fail - something that will produce a moist and flavorful loaf.

Rigatoni with Creamy Garbanzo Bean Sauce
I say it again - necessity is the mother of invention.... It's the case with our latest recipe. I had some cooked Garbanzo beans that needed to be used but didn't want to make a hummus. I already used half of it to make a sautéed dish so I figured, am sure I can use these for something else that I have never done before. So off I went to the pantry and found this box of Rigatoni noodles and then the light came up - how about a pasta dish?

Classic Embutido (Filipino-Style Meatloaf)
Did you know that "Embutido" is the generic term for "sausage" in the Spanish language? I just learned this recently as I was doing some research on our latest post. I knew that the Pinoy Embutido was something based on a Spanish dish because we have been colonized by Spain for nearly 400 years so obviously we have a lot of Spanish influence in our cuisine.
